The BBC, Talksport and Absolute Radio will all continue to broadcast live Premier League matches in the UK for the three-season 2013/14 to 2015/16 cycle, reports SportsPro. All three broadcasters have retained the same rights packages they currently hold, although there was no immediate indication on the rights fees. The previous deals were believed to be worth up to US$60 million in total to the Premier League.
The BBC has retained its four current packages, including Saturday lunchtime, the first pick of Saturday afternoon's 3pm kick-offs, Sunday late afternoon games and Monday evening fixtures.
Talksport has acquired the same two packages it currently holds, the early Sunday afternoon and Saturday evening games.
Absolute Radio will continue to broadcast a second-pick Saturday afternoon commentary.
Each of the seven packages sold includes between 31 and 33 matches in total.
The Premier League's director of sales and marketing, Richard Masters, said: "We are extremely pleased that the BBC, Talksport and Absolute Radio have all again chosen to invest in the Barclays Premier League. We look forward to continuing to work with them as they showcase the League to fans across the country."
