Tottenham fullback Kyle Walker is at Aston Villa on a straight loan.
The Birmingham Mail says unlike Villa's loan deal for Michael Bradley, which gives them first refusal to sign the American from Borussia Monchengladbach in May at a pre-set price, there is no such clause in the terms of Walker's switch from Spurs.
Instead there is an unwritten understanding between the clubs that they will monitor the right-back's impact at Villa Park over the next four months and discuss his future in the summer.
Walker has scored the first two goals of his career since arriving last month and excited the Villa Park faithful with his pace and purpose, defensively and going forward.
