Released Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey has seen talks over a Blackpool contract fall through.

The Daily Mail says the former England international has been training with the Championship club in a bid to secure a move.

Heskey left Aston Villa in May after his contract expired and has seen interest from a number of clubs including Blackburn, Ipswich and Hull City.

However the 34-year-old, who held talks with former club Leicester City earlier this summer, must go back to the drawing board.
