According to Swiss newspaper SonntagsBlick, Blaise Nkufo is set to join Seattle Sounders from Dutch club FC Twente.
The 34-year old Zaire-born Swiss international striker is close to signing according to the report as his contract at Twente expires in the European summer.
He is expected to finish the season in Holland and then join the Sounders around the time of the World Cup in which he will almost certainly represent Switzerland as part of Ottmar Hitzfeld's squad.
Nkufo has represented a high number of teams throughout his career including Lausanne-Sport, Grasshopper, Lucerne, Mainz and Hannover among others. He has been with Twente since 2003, scoring over 100 goals in more than 200 appearances.
