Nissan continue sponsorship of Yokohama stadium

According to Tokyo-based news agency Kyodo News, car manufacturer Nissan will extend its title sponsorship of the International Stadium Yokohama, the venue that played host to the final of the 2002 Fifa World Cup, reports SportsPro. The multi-year deal, which starts 1st March 2013, sees the 72,327-capacity stadium continue to be known as Nissan Stadium until February 2016.

Yokohama city officials have announced they expect to receive US$5.75 million over the course of the deal's three-year tenure.

Nissan first became title sponsor of the stadium in 2005.

Nissan Stadium's current tenant is Yokohama F. Marinos of the J. League Division 1.
