Nine man Udinese clinch penalty shootout

Udinese has suffered two red cards in it's Coppa Italia defeat of Reggina in a penalty shootout. Despite both clubs fielding weakened line-ups the action was end to end with both sides unable to find the back of the net.

Udinese had keeper Belardi sent off in the 87th minute after his foul conceded a penalty, however Halfredsson was unable to convert.

Extra time was more of the same and Udinese's cause wasn't helped by Fabio Quagliarella's red card for a bad tackle on Sestu.

The penalty shootout finished 8-7 in favour of Udinese.
