Real Madrid are chasing Internacional de Porto Alegre star Nilmar.
The forward's agent has confirmed on local radio that Real and Roma are battling to bring Nilmar to Europe next month.
Nilmar, 24, has scored 31 goals in 55 matches for Inter and had a previous spell in Europe with Olympique Lyon.
