Nikita Rukavytsya cut loose by FC Twente on World Cup eve

Aussie striker Nikita Rukavytsya goes to the World Cup a free agent after his release from FC Twente.

The former Perth Glory forward was informed yesterday that new Twente coach Michel Preud'homme would not be extending his contract.

Rukavytsya is now a free agent and is counting on his successful loan in Belgium with KSV Roeselare to attract new European suitors.
