Nike are set to lose Barcelona star fullback Daniel Alves from it's stable.

Sport says negotiations over a contract renewal have broken down, with Alves' endorsement deal with Nike due to expire in October.

The Brazil international is fast emerging as the world's best right-back and has lucrative offers from Adidas and Reebok on the table.

Alves' fallout with Nike isn't expected to affect his presence at Barca, which counts on the American sportswear giant as a prime sponsor.
