Nike ready to squeeze Adidas out of Real Madrid with Neymar funding plans

Nike are ready to squeeze Adidas out of their kit deal with Real Madrid by helping fund their plans to prise Neymar away from PSG.

Real representatives met with the father of Neymar a fortnight ago, where he was informed president Florentino Perez was willing to pay €400m to bring the former Barcelona star back to Spain.

It was revealed by De Spiegel that talks between Adidas and Real recently collapsed over a ten-year €100m-a-year agreement. The current agreement runs to 2020 and is worth €40m-a-year.

AS says Nike could take over the kit deal this summer, with Real breaking their current Adidas agreement. And a carrot offered by Nike is a commitment to help fund a deal for Neymar.

The American sportswear giant have also discussed with Perez about bankrolling his €200m bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
