Spanish champions Atlético Madrid have renewed their kit supply agreement with Nike until 2026, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The new contract continues a relationship which began in 2001. By the time the new deal ends, club and company will have worked together for 25 years.
Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, the chief executive of Atlético, said: "We face every season with increased anticipation, eagerness and ambition, and to be able to count on Nike, a selective, demanding collaborator that is the world leader in this sport, undoubtedly constitutes very important support for us.
"The continuity of this agreement signifies Nike's belief in us and in our project."
"The philosophies of hard work and team spirit that have made the club Spanish League champions are 100 percent in keeping with Nike's core values," said Trevor Edwards, president of the Nike Brand arm of the sportswear giant.
