Skysports.com has confirmed that Everton are on the verge of signing Nigerian striker Victor Obinna.

The player's agent Patrick Bastianelli has confirmed the Toffees have agreed a season-long loan deal with Inter for the 21 year old striker and he is due in England over the weekend to finalise the move.

"Yes, Victor has agreed a loan move to Everton," Bastianelli told skysports.com.

"It is a season-long deal with the option to buy at the end of it.

"He is very happy about moving to England and Everton and linking up with Yakubu and the other Nigerian players at Everton.

"We are waiting for his visa application and then we will fly to England this weekend to complete the move."
