Nigeria's Keshi full of praise for Portland Timbers forward Dike

Nigeria national team boss Stephen Keshi has indicated that Bright Dike could be included in his African Cup of Nations squad.

The 25-year old Portland Timbers forward was a surprise call-up for Keshi's provisional Super Eagles squad for the 2013 tournament in South Africa which kicks off in January and could still be involved if he continues to work as hard as he did in his only international cap to date - a 3-1 win over Venezuela in Miami last month.

"Well, the truth is the list I announced is a provisional list. Not everyone in that list will be on the plane to South Africa," Keshi said in an interview with supersport.com when quizzed on Dike's selection.

"Yes Dike has one cap but I was really impressed with his fitness level when we played against Venezuela in Miami. His dedication level is impressive. These are the kind of players that I need.

"I am not saying he will make the list or will be dropped eventually. When the camp opens in Portugal, we will see who is who."
