Antti Niemi is delighted to have signed a new contract with Fulham.
"I spoke to Lawrie after the last game of the season and then we had a chat on the phone over the summer. He obviously wanted to know what was going to happen with me as I was into the last year of my contract. He's got a lot on his plate player wise so he wanted to know what I was going to do and it didn't take to long to come to an agreement.
Fulham is not one of the big boys, not one of the biggest clubs but as a player it's a wonderful place to work. Everybody looks after each other and it's a great place to be a footballer.
"In the end it was an easy decision to be honest, especially when we're about to have a fresh start after the end of last season. Kamara, Davis and Hughes - all of the new signings make perfect sense because they are areas of the field we may have been lacking a little bit.
"It's been good over the past few weeks and I've been impressed. There are quite a few new faces and we're still expecting a few more - I think it's a good time for the Club."
