Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is being linked with troubled hotseat at Celtic.
Celtic legend and former Arsenal star Charlie Nicholas believes Celtic should do all they can to lure Hodgson to Parkhead.
He told the Scottish Sun: "I know Roy's name has been mentioned by large sections of the Celtic fans.
"I think he would be a brilliant appointment for my old club, but I don't think the money will be there to tempt him to Scotland. He'd require a massive transfer kitty and I'm not sure Celtic will provide that. In fact, if England should require a new national manager he would be perfectly suited for such a job.
"It's funny that it has taken reaching a European final for people to sit up and take notice of him.
"But Roy hasn't suddenly become a good manager this season. Look at his CV. It is one of the best you will find. He has managed all over Europe, but I suppose being willing to take over clubs in smaller leagues in the past has counted against him.
"Roy has had 17 managerial positions since he started out in 1976 in Sweden with Halmstads, where he won two championships in five years. At Fulham he has had to work within tight budgets and has signed players you could only describe as journeymen.
"But he's got them playing and got more out of them than their previous managers."
