Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere has revealed how Mario Balotelli's agent made it clear what he was getting in the former Liverpool striker.

Riviere says Mino Raiola laid bare all of his client's faults.

He recalled to L'Equipe: "Before an important meeting with Mario, which was delayed due to a problem with his aircraft, Mino gave me all the reasons I should not oblige the player.

"And when his player arrived, Mino said to him, 'Everything bad that I had to tell the President about you, I said'."

Riviere also revealed it was Balotelli who drove the transfer.

"Raiola told me: 'It was Mario who pursued this goal'."
