Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere is calm over claims of Arsenal being in contact with coach Lucien Favre.

The experienced Swiss coach has been linked with Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund in recent days amid suggestions he is in talks about a release from the final year of his OGCN deal.

But Rivere says: "Last year, Lucien Favre, everybody gave him away and he stayed. I would say that this year, it is not said at all that he goes elsewhere, we'll see.

"We are used to hectic periods of mercato in Nice. When you do not have big means, you have to go through this. We are not so worried that we try to anticipate things.

"The coach still has a year of contract, I think it would be nice if we were still a year or more together. We will see, I do not want to predict things but we are calm on the subject."
