Nice 2-goal hero Balotelli: I hadn't heard of Ben Arfa. I can win Ballon d'Or

Mario Balotelli admits he knew little of Hatem Ben Arfa before joining Nice.

The former Newcastle attacker is now with PSG, having rebuilt his career last season at Nice. Balotelli is being backed to do the same after leaving Liverpool for the French outfit.

"When I signed here, I was not aware for Ben Arfa. I knew he was playing here, but that's all," Balotelli told Canal+.

"This is not a player I know much about. They explained his history, he has revived himself here. This is a good thing. To tell the truth, I do not think about the future.

"I think of being good tonight (against Marseille), to do well every day. And when I have done my job until June, I will see what I will do."

On the Ballon d'Or, he added: "It is not too late. By working well, by being serious, I could have it in two, three years.

"In the last two years, my working capacity has increased from 10-80%. I started working the last two years."
