M'Baye Niang says his first season with AC Milan has surpassed expectations.

Niang signed for Milan last summer from Caen.

"It has gone beyond all my expectations," he told Forza Milan. "I'm still young. I thought I would acclimatise and try to understand calcio.

"Instead the Coach has given me confidence immediately. I am very happy about that.

"El Shaarawy has impressed me so much. The same goes for Boateng and Balotelli."
