Ngog wants playing assurances before penning new Liverpool deal

David Ngog is wary of penning a new contract with Liverpool.

The Reds are offering new terms to the French striker, 21.

But the Daily Express says Ngog is likely to seek assurances over his role at the club before putting pen to paper.

"I am young but I can't waste my time," he said.

"The quicker I can succeed the better. I am ambitious and I want to be at the top and to play and to be one of the best. If I see that I don't have a chance to play and don't play I will try to think about another option.

"If things don't happen, I will have to make decisions."
