David Ngog was delighted to be on the scoresheet for Liverpool in victory over Aston Villa.
Ngog was also heavily involved in Maxi Rodriguez's strike in the early stages of the second half, supplying the pass that allowed the Argentina international to strike home and secure the three points.
Afterwards the 21-year-old told Liverpoolfc.tv: "The team did well. We played with confidence and we passed the ball really well. It was a good game for us.
"When you score quickly, it is easier to play afterwards - that's what we did. I am happy for Ryan and I am also pleased to score a goal too.
"I haven't scored for a while, so I am happy to get one - but the most important thing is, of course, the team winning.
"It was a good counter-attack for Maxi's goal. I was pleased to be involved and Maxi finished it well. I am really happy for him."
