The Barcelona pair disagrees on what exactly the Catalan giants need to help them improve next season after they finished runners-up behind Real Madrid in La Liga in the last campaign.

Messi believes the side need a deep-lying midfielder in the mould of former star Xavi, with PSG's Mauro Verratti mentioned as a possible candidate.

On the other hand, Neymar views Coutinho as the perfect player to inject more attack in the Blaugrana midfield.

Fortunately for Neymar, Messi will get the chance to have a first hand look at the Reds midfielder when Argentina take on Brazil in Melbourne on Friday night.
