Neymar double downs Scotland in London

Brazil have beaten Scotland 2-0 in an international friendly at the Emirates Stadium in North London this afternoon. A brace from Santos whizkid Neymar did the damage as Brazil ended a two-match losing streak with a dominant performance in perfect conditions at a magnificent stadium.

53,087 fans turned up to Arsenal's home ground for a celebration of sorts with the atmosphere more of a party with the drums and dancing of the Brazilians and the pure passion and chanting of the Tartan Army.

The 19-year old took his senior international tally to three goals in three games, following up his quartet of goals for the Brazil U20s against Paraguay in January.

His first came three minutes before the break when he received a pass from Andre Santos, rounded defender Gary Caldwell and slotted nonchalantly past Allan McGregor much to the delight of the Brazil supporters.

A Seleccao were well on top throughout most of the 90 minutes bar for a period halfway through the second half when Scotland showed some creativity which had been lacking for most of the encounter.

The second goal came in the 77th minute when Charlie Adam was adjudged to have brought down Neymar in the area and the teenager picked himself up to send McGregor the wrong way before rejoicing with his teammates who managed to hold off any advances and stretch their unbeaten streak against Scotland to ten matches.
