Chelsea coach Eddie Newton says the Eredivisie is a good standard for their young players to compete in.

Newton is in charge of all loan players this season at Chelsea.

"Of course, the level is less than in the Premier League, but games against Ajax and Feyenoord are interesting for everyone.

"The Eredivisie is a competition where technically gifted players have a chance. This is for us is an important starting point.

"Of course it is less physical than in England, but that may come later. It would therefore not be surprising to find in the future more players from Chelsea going to Vitesse Arnhem."
