West Brom No2 Eddie Newton admits they're yet to make a decision on the future of midfielder Borja Valero.

Valero's future remains up in the air after the Spaniard admitted that he was unlikely to return to Real Mallorca next season.

"Borja is a very talented player who is clearly showing what he can do in Spain," Newton told the Birmingham Mail.

"But it's not always about ability. Sometimes players cope better in a different style of League.

"The Championship is a certain kind of division and not all players are suited to it.

"But we've been keeping regular checks on Borja. We know what he can do and we're glad that he's done so well.

"He's certainly somebody we're going to have to discuss and make some kind of decision about this summer."
