Aston Villa have been blasted by Newport after their weekend friendly.
The League Two new-boys insist Villa assured them they would bring a squad with 'a presence of Premier League experience' for yesterday's clash, says The Sun.
But a crowd of 2,984 were left disappointed as Villa, who lost 5-2, lined up with a mix of Under-21 and Academy players.
Newport boss Justin Edinburgh said: "Yes. We were told there would be Premier League players. There is disappointment."
