Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor insists there's no problem with Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand after their row last week.

"As far as (Cristiano) Ronaldo is concerned, he was nowhere near me as we went down the tunnel. It was a case of mistaken identity," Taylor told the People.

"I was actually next to Rio and I told him that Ronaldo is a s***house!

"I respect Rio as a person and as a player, but I'm not about to let him tell me how to play for Newcastle.

"I shook hands with him after the game because I'm a great believer that what goes on on the pitch stays on the pitch, although he still insisted I was wrong."
