Newcastle United fullback Danny Simpson has decided to quit Twitter.

Simpson made the decision after abuse he copped following defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.

The 25-year-old said: "Time to delete this. Never read so much s**t in my life.

"Hurts to read that stuff when you're trying your best and working hard every day."
