Newcastle United striker Michael Owen is a top target for Tottenham.

The Sunday Mirror says Spurs are weighing up a summer raid for Newcastle's £10million-rated striker Owen.

Spurs transfer supremo Damien Comolli and boss Juande Ramos both view Owen as a possible replacement for Dimitar Berbatov if the Bulgarian ace moves in the summer.

And, despite Kevin Keegan's claims that Newcastle should now be in contract talks with Owen, his Toon superiors have yet to make any new offer to the 28-year-old England striker, whose current four-year deal expires in June 2009.
