It was Milner who hit the equaliser in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Sunderland and he said: "I don't care if people think it was a cross or a shot. I was putting it into a dangerous area, crosses and freekicks go to the far post and you look for the runners coming across and Michael Owen's contribution was just as big as mine.
"Some times work like that by strikers goes unnoticed. They are under pressure to score every week and Michael has not scored for a couple now but he will score goals and he is a world-class player.
"We know how much he is contributing to the side, whether he is scoring or not and his run for the goal is a perfect example of that."
