Obafemi Martins admits he's happy the transfer window has shut.

The Newcastle United striker explained to the Evening Chronicle: "I was happy that the transfer window has closed and that means no more stories that I will be going.

"I can't wait because there has been a lot of speculation.

"I don't like it when you get young supporters saying 'don't go Oba' or 'why go to Arsenal?'.

"It's not good for you as a player. I am happy to be a Newcastle player and that is that."
