Peter Lovenkrands has told Chris Hughton that he can get goals for Newcastle United in their relegation battle.

The Dane told the Evening Chronicle: "I am a striker more than anything, but I have been put on the left wing because I am quick.

"Everyone assumes I am a winger, but up front has always been the position in which I have wanted to play."
