Newcastle United midfielder Danny Guthrie has revealed he can "learn" from teammate Joey Barton.
"Joey worked his socks off, got his penalty and that will make life a bit easier for him," the former Liverpool trainee told The Journal. "He just wants to play football now.
"You do hear managers say it's good to have certain players in the dressing room, you can say that about Joey and Nicky Butt. I can learn off both.
"The most important thing is we are getting players back now. The more players we have available, the better for the squad. We had Jonás (Gutiérrez) back as well and that's great for us all. To see players returning lifts the team."
