Newcastle United midfielder Danny Guthrie is keen on a move to West Bromwich Albion.

Guthrie is off contract at Newcastle this month and already tweeted his goodbyes to Toon fans.

The Express & Star says sources in the north east claim Guthrie is keen to speak to the Baggies, who have lodged their interest with his representatives.

He is interested in moving to the Midlands to be closer to his family in Shrewsbury, where he was born.
