Newcastle's Geremi warns Chelsea

Geremi has warned former club Chelsea to expect a tough test when they travel to Newcastle next Monday.

The Blues dragged themselves level on points with Manchester United with a 2-1 victory over Sir Alex Ferguson's side on Saturday. They will now be looking to win their last two games and hope for a slip-up from Manchester United to give them the Premier League title.

However, Newcastle have been in excellent form of late and extended their unbeaten run to seven games with a 2-2 draw against West Ham on Saturday.

The Cameroonian midfielder won the title twice with Chelsea but he insists he would not mind contributing to their downfall.

"I'm sorry for Chelsea but that's football," Geremi told Newcastle's official website.

"Football is funny because we are not going to let them come to win. We have to give them a good game and enjoy it.

"It's the last game at home, in front of the fans, against one of the big teams.

"We've been playing well in the last few weeks and it's a big opportunity to send a message.

"It's a big test for us to see how far we can go."
