Geremi is confident he's won over Newcastle United manager Kevin Keegan after a shaky start to their relationship.

The Cameroon midfielder told the Evening Chronicle: "It's important to show a new manager what you can do. You need to impress him and you need to gain his confidence.

"And you have to win your place in the starting XI. When I returned from Ghana he didn't play me straight away. He needed to see what my quality was like, but I think he knows me better now.''
