Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll has been warned to buck up his ideas after being banished from the England U19 squad last week for breaking curfew.
"They were given some free time after the Iceland game and they simply failed to check into their rooms on time.
"The England Under-19 coaching staff are quite strict when it comes to young internationals and this is a reminder that you can't break curfews on England duty.
"He will head back to Preston tonight and has already been told by his manager Paul Simpson he just has to knuckle down and get on with things.
"And that starts with trying to get back into the squad for the weekend's game with Sheffield United where he has to knuckle down and get on with scoring goals."
