Newcastle United youngster Conor Newton is keen on a loan move away.
Newton has excelled in the second string after spending a year out with injury last term, he is keen to show what he can do on the bigger stage.
The 21-year-old told the Evening Chronicle: "I need to get out on loan.
"I want to play first-team football somewhere.
"I've spoken to Peter Beardsley and Willie Donachie and they think I would be better going out on loan.
"I agree with them. Playing first-team football is a different game, it's men's football."
