Newcastle United are wrapping up the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk striker Facundo Ferreyra.
The Toon yesterday agreed a one-year loan deal for the Argentine striker, who played for Shakhtar Donetsk last season.
The player, nicknamed Chucky, was a popular figure with Shakhtar fans but was reluctant to return to Ukraine because of the recent unrest.
"My family was very worried about me and persuaded me not to go to Ukraine. They thought it was very dangerous," the 6ft 1in forward had said.
Newcastle will pay £1.5m for the loan spell and shell out a further £5m to clinch a permanent deal at the end of the season, says the Daily Star.
