Newcastle United will not be returning to the negotiating table for released Notts County defender Sol Campbell.
The Guardian says Newcastle, with whom Campbell held talks over the summer, will not renew their interest in him.
The former Arsenal and Tottenham defender even took in a preseason friendly at St James' Park before signing for Notts County.
