Newcastle won't end signing plans with De Jong

Newcastle United aims to continue their signing spree after clinching a deal for Ajax midfielder Siem de Jong.

The Journal says Toon are hoping to secure another four summer recruits after clinching the signature of De Jong late on Tuesday night.

United want to sign another forward and are hoping to step up their interest in Remy Cabella - the Montpellier playmaker - when the World Cup finals have concluded.

They are understood to be looking to wrap up a couple of deals quickly as they head back for pre-season training tomorrow, with Alexandre Lacazette of Lyon one name in the frame.
