Newcastle United will not consider recalling Hatem Ben Arfa.
Ben Arfa faces having to sit out the season after signing for Nice, having also turned out for Hull City and the Toon's U21 team.
The Evening Chronicle says United will not entertain a return after pushing through the paperwork for his exit, even if the club were to appoint Remi Garde.
Ben Arfa was signed by Ligue 1 side Nice on an 18 month contract earlier this month.
But the French playmaker's move fell through after FIFA refused to allow Nice to register the player as they ruled he has already played for two teams this season and playing for a third would be against FIFA rules.
