Newcastle United will be without Sylvain Marveaux for this weekend's clash with Manchester City.
The undefeated Magpies travel to Etihad Stadium for a meeting with the league leaders on Saturday but French winger Marveaux will not be there because of a groin injury. But manager Alan Pardew suggests Shola Ameobi could be fit whilst remaining calm about Cheick Tiote and Gabriel Obertan who are under injury clouds.
"Marveaux is definitely out. Shola will be involved as he's back to fitness, so that is good news for us," he told the Newcastle Chronicle.
"We are still sweating on Cheick and Obertan."
