Newcastle United have withdrawn superkid Adam Campbell from action due to knee concerns.

The Evening Chronicle says the injury is not a long-term issue and Alan Pardew is not too concerned about his promising young striker.

Explaining his recent absence, Pardew said: "Adam is injured. He hurt his knee two weeks ago.

"It is not serious, he just needs rest."
