Newcastle winger Routledge on his way to Swansea

Sky Sports reports indicate Swansea City have agreed a fee with Newcastle United to sign Wayne Routledge. The former Crystal Palace wide-man has been linked with a move to several clubs after finding himself on the fringes at Newcastle.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Queens Park Rangers and had been linked with a permanent move to Loftus Road.

Routledge has agreed personal terms with the Premiership new boys and is due to undergo a medical on Monday before finalising the deal.

Swansea are likely to pay in the region of £1.5million for Routledge, who joined Newcastle from QPR in January 2010.
