Rolando Aarons' recovery from injury is ahead of schedule at Newcastle United.
Aarons, currently nursing a hamstring injury, is hoping to be back in contention for first-team action in the next fortnight.
A club source told the Evening Chronicle: "Rolando was gutted when he picked up the injury but is hoping to be back soon.
"He's really missed playing and it will be a boost to have him back as an option."
