Newcastle United winger Gabriel Obertan is up for tonight's big clash with Joey Barton's QPR.
The Toon's ex-Manchester United winger revealed he thought nothing of knocking on boss Alex Ferguson's door demanding to know why he was not in the team.
So facing tough-tackling former Newcastle favourite Barton on his QPR debut will be a walk in the park for the Frenchman, who arrived in a £3million deal just before the Scouser quit for the capital last month.
Obertan, 22, left Old Trafford after just four league starts in two seasons.
He said: "I knocked on Sir Alex's door a few times to ask why I wasn't in the side more. To be fair to him, he gave fair and honest answers. It gives me a point to prove here.
"Joey was very charismatic and not afraid to say some harsh words if needed.
"I only got to know him for a couple of weeks before he left but he was a big voice."
