Newcastle United wing-back Ryan Taylor is in line for an over-age place in Team GB.

Taylor is delighted to be on the radar of Olympics coach Stuart Pearce.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "I got a letter from Stuart Pearce saying I was in some sort of squad.

"I am open to it. If anybody turned down the chance to play for your country on home soil in the Olympics they would be stupid.

"But it's not my decision."
