Newcastle United have shelved their interest in Ajax captain Siem de Jong.
The midfielder was emerging as a late, big money target for Toon this week.
However, the Daily Mail says the club will revive their interest in Ajax captain De Jong in the summer and hope to finalise a £9million transfer.
