Newcastle United and Everton are battling for VitoriaGuimaraes striker Amido Balde.

The Mirror says Toon manager Alan Pardew has been monitoring the 21-year-old all season and there have been discussions between the Magpies and the Portuguese club about signing a player who's also been watched by Spurs, off the back of impressive scouting reports.
